The website content an investigation. Abstract: The investigation´s main objective was to evaluate the emotional intelligence on subjects with overweight and obesity. A non experimental – transactional study descriptive type was done. Bar-On`s Emotional Quotient Inventory (Ugarriza adaptation) was applied on 36 subjects from both sexes, between 24 and 77 years old. It was found that subjects showed low emotional quotient, what indicates they perceive certain grade of psychological distress, as low intrapersonal capacity and difficulties with stress management and adaptability. Nevertheless, they showed well intrapersonal abilities and an appropriate mood.
